yes gibbit

Always loved your style. You do people really well, and your zombies are unique. Love it.

Very pretty

Your work here, as always, is very pretty. In and of itself it's quite good and I love the details and sensuality of the image, which is stark contrast to the devastation behind the character.

However I think perhaps you should have put some wear and tear on her. Splotches of mud on her skin, scratches, torn clothes, etc. This is mostly due to the background that has come with her, as her appearance is as contrasting with the story and background, as she is with the background.

Just a suggestion, but on its own the picture is very nice.

Congratulations

Well done on your win for this year's Madness Day. After looking at your competition I say you fully deserve it. Well done, and best of luck for next year.

Thank you :)

Enchanting

Sensual, enchanting, beautiful. I must say I love this picture. I'm in a point right now where I have a huge fascination with vampires, and this almost seems almost exactly like some of the vamps I'm trying to portray in my writing. I love this picture so much.

Her lips seem a little off, almost lifting away from the face mostly the lower one, but the lipstick and slight drip of blood pulls the eye a bit so it's not so noticeable. The tattoo and makeup around the eyes simply add to this character's allure. Her hair is just breathtaking. It's not easy to do really good hair, but you've managed to make it look quite realistic.

The fang could be a little more pronounced, but the subtlety also works in its own way.

Love it.

I'm a big fan of succubi, and this picture is no exception. I love the elegance and beauty, but also the demonic nature you've put into this picture. It's soft, sensual almost, but at the same time hints to great horror.

The only criticism I have is that her shoulders don't flow very well. I think they should have a softer slope, a more feminine touch. But that's really all I have to say. Very very well done.

Tis quite good.

My only real quip about the piece would be the rank on the shoulder. You said it was Canadian military, and so the thin stripe should be just a little thicker. About half the width of the bigger one.

Other than that, it's pretty cool.

Paxilon responds:

Ahahaha, I was concentrating so hard on getting the order of the stripes (thin on top, thick on bottom etc etc) that I didn't even think of the actual widths XD
Glad you like it, and thanks for spotting that!

Excellent work

The clean lines, excellent shading, and well defined pose and posture all add to the character of this piece. Theme aside (which I love by the way) it comes across very well. Thank ye for sharing.

ChaosMoomoo responds:

Thanx :)

Excellent as always

I missed this one. I'm going to have to look through your work again and find the pieces I missed, as well as pop over to DeviantArt to check out the story you wrote to go with each picture. I always look at your work of Annika for inspiration while I'm writing my own stories, so thank you for that.
As for this particular piece. Well there's not much I can actually say here. Pretty much all the faults I can see have already been pointed out, save one, and it's a minor thing. Her cloak is tattered and torn, and she is spattered in a bit of blood, but on a battlefield she'd be a bit messier than that, even in winter. Some nicks in the armour, or cuts in her breeches would have just added to the intensity of this moment.
But other than that, everything is good. Once again you've captured mood very well, especially by focusing on the anger and blood, rather than the horrors of combat. It's an emphasis that really works for this piece.
Thanks for sharing.

We glady plunge feet first into hell.

A great tribute to the world of Halo, and especially the ODSTs. You did good detail on your soldier, more so than the rest of the picture, but to me the ODST feels like the centerpiece for the whole thing so that's all good. I also like the colouring on the arms to make them look bruised, but perhaps add some black tot eh center and a dark sickly yellow to the outside next time.

Your use of shading was great and added some excellent depth to the entire thing. All my negative points have already been covered by other reviews, so I'll leave you to it.

I enjoy writing, and I enjoy sharing what I have with folks. I suppose that makes me an entertainer of sorts. I hope you can find something of mine that you enjoy and helps pass the time. Leave a comment, or not, the choice is yours.
