Puts Everything to scale

Besides the obvious educational benefits of this flash, it also made me think. We're only in the middle, and in a scale with this scope, that's not very high. The universe is so damn big, it just stretches beyond imagination. We can not actually grasp just yet what is out there. We try with science fiction, but can we even come close to the wonders that await us amongst the stars... or the mysteries that lurk in measurements we haven't even created yet as they are so small. Everything has those building blocks to make it stand.

The world is beautiful isn't it?

Beautiful!

Lately I don't give out many tens... but this begged for it.

The art was breathtaking and not only stood out from the many other flash videos, but captured the flavour of the original tale as well. The music did the same.

The dark humour fit so very well, and at the same time didn't take away from the story in the least, like I've seen humour do to other flashes before. Everything just... flowed.

While the chase sequence was a little stiff, it wasn't too difficult and so forgivable. The slingshot as well was somewhat annoying in that well sequence, but not overly frustrating and so easily looked over.

the difficulty was good. While it was quite hard, not overly so.

Thank you for making this and offering it to us.

Simplistic but entertaining.

Sometimes you don't want anything to complex for simple entertainment, and this fits the bill perfectly. Simple and easy controls, and a straight forward goal allow players to easily slip into the game and enjoy themselves.

The unlimited play time, and competitive score chart could well keep people coming back to prove they are better then other players.

Now, while the game is great, and fun, its not perfect. I noticed after a few minutes that the camera was slowly working its way up. It got to the point where I couldn't even see my figure, and as a consequence was killed for it. Also, the grab+roll didn't always work properly. While in the tutorial it allowed me to easily jump over a two block stack, I sometimes could not in the game itself, and sometimes could jump over three. It seemed a little glitchy there.

Other than those two problems, I enjoyed the game and recommend it to anyone wanting to kill some time.

Good tribute to Frogger.

Like I said in my subject bar, good tribute to frogger. However, I didn't know anything about the game until it had already started. There could have been some sort of instruction screen or something to let me know what was happening.

Also, getting into the holes in the fence was a little too ackward. You needed to be absolutely perfectly aligned, and while that wasn't a problem in the first wave, it got a little annoying in the second.

Also, with only one medal, and that's for completing the first level, there's not much initiative to move past that first wave.

It wasn't bad

I'm always a little wary of Madness titles that are anything less than M, and Madness is generally about very brutal combat... of which this has little. There are little splotches of blood as Hank shoots and punches his way through the levels. It does not seem very madnessy.

Hank's hand-to-hand combat skills in the game seem on par with the many henchmen he fights, vs. the many films in which Hank seems to do more than do a jump kick and throw a punch that kinda hurts a guy.

I noticed some issues in the game, where the character would not do as he should have, and its caused my death more than once, and in a game that has a "three strikes your out" setting, it is somewhat annoying.

The switching between guns was annoying for me personally. I'd want to finish using my shotgun, but step near another weapon and you'd automatically drop it. And during the showdowns, there wasn't much choice for weaponry. It was randomly given to you by a henchman, removing any form of thought process in choosing your weaponry.

The graphics, sounds and humour however were all quite good, and very Newgrounds oriented.

Not too bad...

However, I myself am not a fan of strict timers, but what really got to me was despite how much whiskey I would pour down a patient's throat he's be out of a drunken stupor within seconds.

Also, I don't know if it was a glitch or something, but the saw was not working properly on level 4.

Other than that it was a good game, original ideas. But, you've done it before, and I thought the first was much better.

Creepy, and entertaining

the game was well animated, and I liked the voice acting in it. A bit of me was also overjoyed that I played as the wife. The sounds, plot, some of the minigames, and ending were all well done and I enjoyed it all.

However, the second VCR mini-game was frustrating beyond belief. That was the only part of the game where I almost turned it off. The only thing that kept me going was that I wanted to see how it all played out, which is a testimony to how interesting it was.

Now while some of the puzzles were indeed hard and very obtuse, I was okay with that cause you made the walk through available.

Anyway, all in all, I enjoyed the game. Well done.

Thing-Thing returns in blood spattered glory

Thing-Thing for me has always been a great source of entertainment, especially the arena branch of the series. It is very addictive, and most importantly fun. The animation is quite well done. With the exception of the traditional character look everything is quite detailed, from the gore to the weaponry. It really is quite impressive. The blood splatters on the walls, the bodies that don't "decay" and the empty casings that remain all add to a sense of brutal carnage after playing for awhile. You can't go anywhere without wading through a pile of enemy corpses up to your waist.

The character customization is well done as always, and I am thankful for the inclusion of obvious female bodies. It's not anything big, but it makes the game just a tad more enjoyable for myself.

Music, isn't anything special in this game, but it really is just a background. It didn't bother me, but didn't stick out, which in the end only caused me to giggle in a disturbed manner as another head exploded. The sound effects however were quite well done in my opinion.

There being no story for this game made it easier to simply jump into the action, which is what this series is all about. Killing, and more killing. The points system and the over the top action make it enjoyable, and the medals give the player a goal to work towards besides just killing waves of enemies. Those in the end I think will make more people come back and play more to get more of the medals.

All in all, very enjoyable game. Really fun, I know I'll be back for more.

Held promise but didn't cut it.

This game held promise. The graphics were amazing, the sounds were awesome, music was good and not distracting, the controls were simple and responsive. However, the camera crushed this.

An interesting concept that wasn't delivered well. If an enemy came nearby the camera would jump and I would loose my bearings for a split second. When there were no enemies the camera zoomed right in to the point where I couldn't see where I had to go. Unless I jumped, so I spent most of my time hopping around like a fool just to see where I had to go.

In the end, a lot of good ideas, but the camera makes this almost unplayable.

Well crafted

This game was indeed well made. The story was interesting, and the gameplay very fluid. The only mark I have against the gameplay was the wall jumping, it simply said to press the jump button, but I found I had to press the movement button towards the wall to actually complete the wall jump.

For artwork, very stylish. I loved it, and it suited the game very well. The camera was also a nice little touch that made this seem like more than it was.

Sound was good, and the voice acting was spectacular, some of the best I've heard on Newgrounds. The music matched well.

All in all, well made game, your hard work shows. Good job.

I enjoy writing, and I enjoy sharing what I have with folks. I suppose that makes me an entertainer of sorts. I hope you can find something of mine that you enjoy and helps pass the time. Leave a comment, or not, the choice is yours.
