Odd but amusing

The entire thing was quite odd, but very amusing at the same time. I got a good chuckle out of watching it. It didn't make any sense, but I don't think it was really supposed to, and that was half the charm.

Your art is very well done, though with your initial face on shot of the bird, I really had no clue what it was. I don't know how you would be able to rectify that. The muffled screams and inaudible voice of the space walking astronaut was a very nice touch. The other sounds and music worked very well for mood as well.

All in all, well done.

Not that impressive.

It was an interesting idea with lots of potential, you just didn't seem to execute very well. While the art was actually fairly decent, the voices just didn't seem into their roles. Just sounded like some guys reading of a scrap of paper without any enthusiasm. The only one I can't speak for was nakoruru, the voice of April, as I could barely hear her.
Now as to the sex scene. No I wasn't offended, it was an M rated flash after all, it just went on too long, and seemed very pointless. At one moment I started to wonder if the video had just randomly ended and was stuck in a loop. If it had been much shorter it would have gotten a decent laugh and the overall quality of the flash would have went up, but it was just out of place and too long.
That's all I have. Keep working as you do have a lot of potential to make something good. It shows in your art and the core of your ideas.

I have a feeling I need to listen to the movie in speakers instead of earphones, I could hear everything fine myself

A good attempt that unfortunately flops

Your biggest mistake in making this, was diverting so very far from the two series you based this upon. While Thing-Thing itself was based off the Madness style (especially for design and animation) you missed this completely, and so the "thing-thing" guy just looked like any other guy. It could have been anyone. I am of the opinion you should have stuck with the distinctive Madness/ Thing-Thing style.

While the still shot art was quite good, as soon as there was any movement the quality dropped sharply, and the weapons, especially the shotgun, looked very poor, especially compared to the still characters. While that is bad enough in and of itself, I've always found the original Madness and Thing-Thing animations and games to have very highly detailed weapons. Unfortunately by marketing this as Madness, you are not delivering what many should be getting.

The music choice was pretty good, and the sound effects were good as well. No need to improve there in my opinion. Sound however was not enough to salvage this.

Now, as for the ending. Viewers will be split on whether it was funny or insulting. I for one got a small chuckle out of it, but at the same time found it very unfortunate that the ending which could have been a decent ending turned into something sloppy and misguided. Ideas that seemed to come out of no where are clumsily handled and don't add to the piece, but rather take away from it.

All in all, what would have been a half-decent flash has been ultimately compared to Madness and Thing-Thing, both of which are quite amazing, and is the downfall of your flash, which fails to emulate the flavour and punch of those two series.

Gorgeous

Story aside, the visuals were great. The animation was smooth and easily let the viewer know what was happening. The sounds were greatly done, my ears picking up the little ones that just added to the atmosphere of the entire piece. The music was wonderful, emotional and fit in perfectly with the work. Your voice actors were simply amazing especially Kailey Kaneshiro, whom in my opinion stole the show, but all of them working together brought this piece up to an entirely different level. I'm very happy you were able to bring them on board.

As to the story. It was beautiful and touching. I loved the ebb and flow of emotion you managed to orchestrate, using flashbacks to add to the flavour. Though it was long it let you build more on the characters, even making me feel sympathy for he who could be called a villain, which is simply astounding. Most don't bother to give a human side to their villains. The ending was excellent and uplifting, perfect for this time of year.

In closing, I will simply state, thank you for sharing. It was touching, beautiful, and so many other words I could throw onto the page to try and describe what you have created here.

ahahaha Kailey! Yes she did well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you always havee to give human side to your villians. that's how you do it. not some mindless, purposeless villain.

Thank you for your appreciation. Nice review. Thanks for your time.

Very good parody

The animation was excellent. You captured the peanuts style very well, and your own little demented story was amusing, and twisted.

I must also commend the voice actors. They were very skilled and delivered great performances.

Quite skilled

The storyline was quite interesting, and fairly well presented. Though there were some holes that I wish had been expanded on more, or better clarified.

The music suited the scenes quite well.

The anime influence was quite obvious, and implemented very well. It didn't appear sloppy, or rushed. The entire film was quite polished, and while the story was fairly rushed, the entire thing was put together really well.

Wonderfully Gory

A great tribute to zombie mayhem, and a funny parody of the original song. And even while giggling a little, and thinking of the many different plot threads dnagling from the various scenes (I tried to think of mini stories for each sequence), I am still amazed by your skill with flash.

Great job.

Great Zombie Flash

There's not too too many serious zombie flashes out there, and this one was a great addition.

I'm quite glad you added the hair, not only does it help keep the characters apart, but also adds some personality to them as well, so good decision on that. The voice actors were a nice touch, rather than what I usually see (subtitles or Microsoft Sam). Though they weren't the best I've ever heard, they were still miles above some voice actors I've heard and not having any at all.

Other sound effects were quite well done as well, and the music suited it well.

Animation was nice and smooth, and nothing seemed really out of place at all. It would have been a nice touch to add some vests or something to the officers to make it a little more real, but they are stick figures. Still, I think you could have expanded the stick figure genre a bit with vests or some such.

Guns were well drawn, nothing to saw there.

The red zombies intrigued me, too bad you never explained them at all.

All in all. Good flash. Thanks for sharing.

joshuaskillsrobles responds:

Thanks. The red zombies have like an extra life. Shooting them in the head isnt gonna make them die, they just turn into a regular slow moving zombie. But alot of shots to the body you can still kill it but it will take alot but they wont turn green unless you shoot in the head.

No substance

It started out okay, I was waiting for something amusing to happen, but then nothing...

The random event that occurs shortly after Snake is finally revealed failed to pull a laugh from me, and the end was just... nothing. A weird smile in the corner, as if mocking me for having watched this.

My main issue with this... is that there wasn't anything to it. At all.

Well done.

A creative choice for a flash animation's story. It was also put together real well, and though there wasn't much plot... that's okay because the original Tetris didn't have any either.

The music was superb, and the way it matched what was happening on the screen was very well scripted and just goes to show your attention to detail.

I enjoy writing, and I enjoy sharing what I have with folks. I suppose that makes me an entertainer of sorts. I hope you can find something of mine that you enjoy and helps pass the time. Leave a comment, or not, the choice is yours.
