Ah, I take it Samhain is the old term for Hallows Eve? Or is this something different?
Pretty much. It's the old Gaelic festival for the end of summer, and also where the barrier between the worlds of the dead and the living were at their thinnest. It was the start of the modern Halloween.
How is that pronounced again? Sow wen?
